Environmental and Climate Justice

We work to address the many practices that are harming communities nationwide and worldwide by promoting peoples’ rights and participation in environmental conservation and climate justice through Forest Conservation, Afforestation and Climate Justice. We help protect the environment, guide national policies and develop social and ecological resilience in the face of climate change. We fight for the policies needed to rectify these impacts and advance a society that fosters sustainable, cooperative, regenerative community-led solutions to address the direct impact of climate change, not only on ecosystems, but also on human health.

Advocacy to strengthen Governance, Transparency and Accountability

We work with stakeholders and institutions to promote compliance with human rights obligations and responsibilities, and adhere to the governance principles of transparency, accountability and participation to achieve decision-making that is efficient, fair and inclusive, honest and transparent, accountable and limits the opportunities for corrupt practices to enhance good Governance, Accountability and Transparency through advocacy, civic education and creating public awareness and promotion of public participation and involvement in key-decision making processes to promote change in ways that governments use public resources and raise citizens’ awareness and voices to find solutions to their demands and to push forward governments’ capacity to meet people’s needs.

Health – Improve Access to water, sanitation and hygiene

Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages is essential to sustainable development. Within our communities most areas are experience limited access to health care, water, sanitation and hygiene services.

Sustainable Peace, Security and Conflict Resolution

Peace and development as two sides of the same coin; with peace being a precondition for societal development and progress, including economic, political, and human dimensions, which in turn is crucial for bringing about durable peace. Understanding the causes of conflict and the challenges of sustainable peacebuilding are required to resolve violent conflicts and foster more peaceful relations within and between communities and societies through inclusiveness to peacebuilding and resilience. In collaboration with other peacebuilders and other civic professionals and civil society groups, community organizations and groups, government agencies and security agencies, Rajab Hamis Foundation works to promote sustainable peace, security and stability within our communities through activities that promote inclusivity and social and political cohesion for sustainable development.

Youth and Women Empowerment

To address the challenges of poverty and inequality, Rajab Hamis Foundation works to promote economic growth and social inclusion for youth and women. This is achieved through initiatives that aim at reduction of unemployment, among the youth and women, through the creation greater opportunities for women and men to secure decent employment and income in areas such as agribusiness value chains and artisanal mining. We also undertake initiatives that encourage women and young people to take responsibility very early on in their career in order to give themselves the widest range of options available and enable them to be closer to their skills and ambitions, in an enabling environment, these includes skills training and mentorship programs.

Human Rights Education and Civic Education

To promote, civic participation, social cohesion for peaceful, just and inclusive societies, Rajab Hamis Foundation undertakes programs that aim at contributing to a better understanding of the implicit or explicit theories of change that involve civic and human rights education and to understand their potential to contribute to civic participation and social cohesion that ultimately lead to peaceful, just and inclusive societies and provide practical solutions such as access to education through robust community action, address gender based violence, social, political and economic inclusion for people living with disabilities (PWDs)early marriages and promote equitable access to economic and livelihood opportunities for youths.

Sports and Talent Development

Sports, talent, and skills development are interconnected concepts that play a crucial role in personal growth, physical fitness, and achieving excellence in various activities that aim at promoting teamwork to foster collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills and Competition which offers opportunities to compete, which can teach individuals about goal setting, strategy, and dealing with success and failure. Talent Development deals with identifying one's talents and interests involving recognizing areas where an individual shows exceptional potential or passion, Nurturing once talent is identified, it needs to be nurtured through dedicated practice, training, and education and Continuous learning requires a commitment to continuous learning and improvement and finally Skills Development Skill acquisition which can be learned and developed in various areas, including sports, arts, communication, and more, education and training through formal education and training programs that are essential for skill development, whether in academics, vocational fields, or sports and adaptability to different situations and contexts, allowing individuals to apply them effectively
